FUND RAISING OPPORTUNITIES
There two ways that we offer non-profit
groups the opportunity to raise money for their worthy cause -
-
operating the concession stand at our
Christmas barn, or
-
selling our Christmas Trees.
The Concession
Our typical choose and cut season
has a number of days that the weather is "brisk" at best. One corner of
our Christmas barn is set up as a concession area. Many customers love
to come into the Christmas Barn after they have found their tree and get
something hot to drink and something to eat. Sometimes they like a hot
thick soup or chili, hot dogs, or other easy to serve foods. They often
select items from a bake sale such as home made breads, brownies, pastries,
etc. This can be a good way for a non-profit organization to make some
needed funds. We do not charge any fee or ask for any percentage of what
you make. We do ask that you remove the trash from the concession area
to include discarded paper plates, cups, plastic silver wear, napkins,
etc.
If you would like to get additional
information about operating the concession for one or more Saturdays or
Sundays from after Thanksgiving to just before Christmas, please click
the "Contact Us" button to the left to send us an e-mail.
Selling our Christmas Trees
Non-profit organizations often sell
products to raise money for their charitable projects. Christmas trees
can be an excellent product to sell. Due to the nature of many non-profit
groups, the chairperson of the fund-raising committee may not have any
idea of how to sell Christmas trees. You will want to look at the wholesale
tree information elsewhere in this web-site but you may also want to download
a free guide we offer to someone who is new to the business of selling
Christmas trees.
