USING OUR PROPERTY

We have owned this property since 1958 and have had many opportunities to open it to the public. We have learned over and over that this is not wise. Problems have ranged from inconvenience to damage to the property and bullet holes in occupied structures. We are not likely to open it up to the public again.

What we have learned is that there are several activities that selected people can conduct on our property which are not a problem if done properly. Things such as horse back riding, hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, bow hunting, rifle and muzzle loader hunting, if done as we request, can be fine.

We like to know who is doing what on our property at any given time. We also do not want to have too many people using the property at the same time. In some cases that is a safety concern and some cases it is an issue of overuse of the property. Therefore we request that you come and see us for permission.
